Love 'Em. I buy my bikes there, and they do any service I don't do myself. Happy to give them the business.

They're Ok. I buy my bikes there, but I only get work done there if it's under warrenty.

So so. I buy my bikes there, but all the work is done by an Indy or myself.

Hate 'Em. Won't buy a bike there, let alone have them work on it.

I will mention that the local Triumph and Yamaha dealer changes the tyres on my flat track Sportster and TT500 Yamaha. Gave me a dealer sticker for the Yam, too!
The Honda dealer does the MoT on my Evo Sportster, there’s someone there who knows how the choke and fuel tap work...

Apparently it's working in this small city/rural area. The original dealership is about 100 years old with the same family owning it for well over 50 years. These guys have thrived on repeat business while other metric and Euro dealerships have come and gone. The last time they worked on my 2005 XL883, they treated me as if I had brought in a new $30K bile. There is no snobbery at this Harley dealership.
The only other motorcycle sales/service shop in the area that has thrived for almost as long is a tiny family owned business that is not a franchise. They specialize in old bikes in every shape and size from all over the world. They keep an inventory that is well over 60 years old and I think they don't even need the money; they just enjoy servicing and talking about bikes. If you just want to go in and shoot the bull, they're happy to do it. It's like going back in time.

Update. New (used) bike, new dealer. They won't work on pre '99 and the parts guys don't even try to find stuff for me. I no longer have a dealer, I have an indy.

I've never been to mine, there's needs to be a poll option for not having a dealer...

The thread's been going for fifteen years; it's a bit late to be adding extra poll options now.

Roanoke Valley Harley Davidson in Roanoke, VA. It's in SW Virginia, just off I-81.

No, I don't work for them and I don't get a commission. I just like to spread good news about people who deserve it.
