Default Cam position module on a 1200S

I have a 1200S that will not run to save its a$$ until the cam position sensor is 80-100 degrees. It will miss and sputter all over he place up until the temp reads 80-100F...using a laser thermometer and the cover off the module. It's not the coil or the ECM....has anyone ever seen this before. Just wondering.

The Cam Position Sensor (P/N 32400-94A) is quite reliable, but they do go bad. Cheaper than replacing a whole nosecone igntion module.

i have not run across this on a sportster but have on other electronics. can be a solder connection or an electronic component. when you get into surface mount technology, is more common than in discrete components tech.
