Looks good but should they be reversed? I mean open from the year so the wind at speed doesn't try to blow them open?

The closing clamp is really tight, I think I installed that way due to not enough latch vs. turn signal clearance.

Those latches should be good as long as they are firmly latched. Those look really good. Nice work!

Thanks! Also I ran a strut to connect the boxes, over the rear fender, it would have conflicted with rear-facing latches 
The strut prevents flopping

My install and post was over 10 years ago so the photo's from my install post have gone missing, but here are some generic pics. I used S.A.W. Box (Squad Automatic Weapon) similar to .50 cal. box. Measures 8½" high by 7" wide x 12" long. Mounted them far enough back to miss the shocks.
