is it suitable for all occasions? hummmm, we know that answer.
when i was doing tv,cd and vcr repairs, i used a product developed by the royal brittish navy called stabilant 22 which had two carriers, i used the alcohol base. this stuff is very expensive at 40 bucks for around an ounce but worth it.
it is non conductive in static state but when a current is passed through it, it becomes conductive which enhances the connection.

Wow, that stuff looks impressive. Maybe good for those with fuseboxes and use in lieu of dielectric grease?

Similar to Bustert, I got into using Deoxit on my venerable Fender Vibrolux controls and my Meridian HiFi.
Deoxit also make various versions including an automotive version that they claim has more corrosion inhibitors.
It seems to keep the earths working nice and cleanly on my HD.

I had a 2010 Yamaha Majesty. Dual Headlamp. 9003 if I remember correctly. Left side headlamp Low beam inop. But was Dim on the High setting. Internal Short of the bulb. Put a new pair of Sylvania EcoBright bulbs in. Never had another problem again.
