Default codes

I changed my battery and fuses and now i'm getting codes p1001 and p1002 and I tried clearing them and it won't clear.I didn't have any codes before so I don't know what happened.

P1001 - System Relay Coil Open/Low
P1002 - System Relay Coil High/Shorted

Did you clean up the fuse/relay box? Spray it down good with electrical contact cleaner, then coat it (but not slather it) with dielectric grease to keep the water/vapor out...

From the Sportsterpedia on Relays:
Both Starter & System Relays are interchangeable (especially for diagnostics)

I'd pull the relays & swap them - just to see if the problem moves... That should tell you if the relay is actually failing...

In fact, if the relays are over 5-years old, I'd simply replace them... Consider it a minor maintenance to prevent future issues...

I only used the dielectric grease, fuses were white so I put new ones in but if there not making contact new fuses are useless.I'll buy some contact cleaner and go from there.

One trick that's overlooked when clearing codes is waiting 10 seconds and then starting and running the bike for at least 30 seconds before moving on to the next code. In those 30 seconds, while the bike is running, if the code reappears, the problem hasn't been fixed.

Wait ten seconds after it clears then start it and let it idle for 30 seconds, shut it off, then clear the next code wait ten seconds, then start it and let it idle for 30 seconds and shut it off, wait 10 seconds then start and ride it. You don't ride it until all the codes are clear.
