Welcome. I heard jackhammers from hammer performance is bolt in and mid range. But it's over 3 bills for'em. I personally got N8's from Andrew. I like'em, at 4k, they pick up. Start reading what makes a cam the way it is. Best of luck and ask, ask, ask here.

When choosing a cam, ya gotta get one the fits what you expect from it. Bar hopper, stop light racer, super slab flyer, what rpm do you want MORE POWER???? No cam out there will do everything, like 0 to redline. Do some thinking on what you want, realistically. In the mean time do a simple upgrade to wake that 04 up. Start out with something like a Dyna TC-88 ignition unit. Simple plug n play. Just did one on my Wife's 04 1200 Custom. Set it for curve A (most aggressive,) and a 6500 rev limit. It hauls ass! Now I gotta get a 105 big bore kit in my 07 Dyna . . . to keep up with her. Then start thinking about internal engine changes. Basically, it's the KISS philosophy, KEEP IT SIMPLE.

The Hammer 570 are like the W, stock in 1200 but not in 883; D cams.

The SE 495 are a good bolt in cam that will wake that 1200. Higher than those, you'll need head work.

570'S are worth about 10 HP over the W grind
