I love windshields when it's rainy and cold. Hate 'em when it's not.

But "Sfxtech" will never be able to experience and tell this story!!!

Ride on!!!

Thanks for the reply Highly-Dangerous.
Yes, a windshield offers another level of safety for riders.

My Sporty has a quick detachable, short H-D windshield that looks perfect and performs the same. It only comes off for maintenance on the bike. I've been riding for over 50 years on all sizes and styles of bikes from every continent. I've tried them all with and without windshields. I have always put them back on after trying riding without them.
For those who don't like them, that's fine. I'm not judging. But I sure like mine.

I have a touring bike with windshield. On the Sporty I like it without the windshield. I do wear a full face helmet though.

Thanks Boomerguy. Yep, I have the same windshield. Only comes off when I clean it and during maintenance. I too have been riding for over 50yrs.

I took mine off the week before last, since the temp was in the eighties. Now that its moderated, it'll be put back on. (I am going to mail that pkg this am)

I only use a windshield when the temps drop. I'm usually good without one down to about 50*F, after that a windshield is really helpful in staying warm.
Otherwise, no windshield for me.

My RK has a snap on/off one and I like it, and the look of a bagger without a fairing or windshield. To be honest it doesn't come off too often. As as I age, the wind blast tires me quicker than it used to. Will see how it goes with the Sporty, I will say I prefer the clean look w/o a bug screen.
