Is this the model under discussion?

Have you checked the interlocks and other incoming signals that may prevent the firing of the ignition?

1994 DR350SE "R" model is correct.

I've been using that diagram. But, we've discovered the wire colors are not the same for some systems. Front brake switch is not orange and black, etc.

I agree. My buddy buys and sells dual sports, so I've deleted the clutch and sidestand lockouts on several of them. That's one of the first things I'm going to check when he brings it back over. It has to be something simple, since the bike was running great, then just died when he pulled over at the beach. Possibly the sidestand came into play?

He just bought a 2001 Yamaha WR426F, which needs some work, so at least he's keeping me busy this summer!

Hopefully this thread will keep some of us entertained while I search for the solution.

John

The coil could be acting up when it gets hot.

That's possible, thank you. I'll see if I can check that out when he brings it back over.
