Question She´s Squirting/Spraying gas into the air-cleaner... HELP

Lets see if I can explain it.... I do have a short video on it but I don´t know yet how to upload pics and/or vids.

Thing is my mechanic installed a Dynojet Kit (Carburated) and it was running fine, till one day I did notice a strong smell of gas... the bike, to me, is running very rich... black spark-plugs and what worries me the most is this;

My air-cleaner is a see through so I did noticed when I roll the throttle a bit fast it squirts/spray loads of fuel outwards into the air-cleaner!!!! I wish I could upload the video...

I hope what I am saying makes sense and someone can give me an idea of why this is happening?

Cheers.

First I'd change the dynojet parts to CV Performance.
This was also a recent issue where the float wasn't set right.

Did they put the accel pump nozzle facing the wrong way? How long was it running right before this?

Another member just had a problem with trash in the bowl not long after a carb rebuild.
A piece of a rubber O-ring I believe.

I suspect intake valves gummed up and not sealing as they should due to breather venting oil into air cleaner.i would check compression.

A strong smell of gas / black plugs is usually a sign of running rich.
You may have the fuel mixture screw out too much?

edit:
Here's the Sportsterpedia section on tuning the carb.

Thanks for all the replies.

Last night I got hold of my mechanic and he will go to my place to check it out.

I am at work at the moment (Tripoli, Libya) some days its so busy I just don't have time to get online but I will post the outcome as soon as she´s fixed.

Thanks again.
