I own a '77 XLCR and your machine looks very nice. I'd be interested in how that twin-carb setup works in the real world, keep us apprised please.
About those "Christmas tree" exhaust pipe clamps, took me 10 years to find a decent set for my 'CR but I now have them on. Note to anyone owniing an XLCR and wants to put those clamps on, like most accessories they are made for a stock SPorty and are NOT a bolt-on for the XLCR pipes....

The carburetors actually work above expectations, it has been a bit of work to set them up so they work over the entire register, the ignition is set to cut at 6000 rpm, now it's winter here so not much happens on the bike, the shock absorbers should be replaced for better, original Showa does not work like I want, the front fork I have got to work well after some work.
