Oh, I agree 💯% I'm a big fan of taking the cap off at a red light for a peek. So far I haven't let it slip out of my fingers.

Many years ago I took a trip with a bunch of mates to Coonabarabran for New Years.
They warned me they wouldn't wait if I ran out of gas. 2 1/3 gallon tank, smallest tank in the group by far. Mike the Bike on a BMW with the pannier tanks.
Long story short, all 5 of the guys I rode with ran out apart from me.
I know exactly how far I can ride on a tank. I can see my odometer and I can do arithmetic. (Thank you Mrs. Brown)
You know they make tube caps for your tires that will send an alert to you if your tyre pressure changes ?

Bring a Barrow (wheel barrow) back with you. Not a real place like Dragaginalong.
Actually Dragaginalong is a real place. well, was. Some long time ago people took offense to that name. (Gin is alang for an Aboriginal woman.)

we had water tanks, fuel tanks, crude oil tanks and others which had to be monitored. in times past mechanical means were used but with the computer, head pressure is used.
i can not say how many miles a hd got on a offshore platform but i can say how many miles a cowpie a7ss got on a cargo boat.

Oh, I'm showing my age again.
You know, there was nothing wrong with his designs. They all woked pretty well.
And it's a fact fpr me, that often, my first designs when fabricating things on motorcycles is similar to Rube's way of doing things. It usually takes several iterations of something before I arrive at the simple, more correct answer.
