Mat & Cycowrencher, good info, can you post brand 's & lengths?
as just resized my cases for the Axtell 3 13/16" bore, & have order coming from Hammer for the parts I need to finish ( had barrels & pistons put away for this project ) so I'll need a steering damper too. rigid 03 1200. all stock forks frame, just Ohlins 14.5" shocks ( bit tall for the drags but, I do twisty mountain roads , mostly and track, when I can ) just think as higher in rear will need a damper.

Mine was a SE one that was special ordered for a FXDX and never picked up. I got it for 100 bucks...

thanks, I have one on my carb Buell, but got a slight bend in shaft it's an Ohlins but I'm not sure if can get replacement parts to rebuild.

I'm not sure how to post pic's in here but I took pic's of cases apart and being resized in Bridgeport mill with a micro bore. today
I got s&s premium lifters adjustable push rods collapsible tubes cv44 manifold to fit late EFI xl 1200 heads bronze oil pump gear, 560 impact cams. on way from Hammer. I have a hammer 3" billet air cleaner to use too.

I spoke with Craig from micro blue.. I wanted get his thoughts on my raised CCP.. He said the increase in numbers I am seeing is a perfectly normal increase from the better ring seal.. He also mentioned that unlike physically raising the compression, this is just better seal so the high readings dont exactly mean I am outside pump gas capabilities.. which I don't think I am.. I have been running the bike on street and dyno on pump 93 up to 7000 rpms now and haven't heard any pinging or detonation. I think I will mix some pump 100 with some 93 as a 2:1 mix and run it for now and see how it does.

hey thanks for the steering damper link.

interesting about ccp,i have seen it go up just changing the primary ratio to a lower gearing & also on a Harley race bike with no starter, we used two different starter's, one could spin the motor faster. when we used the remote starter that turned the motor over at a faster speed & tested ccp we got higher ccp.
