Wow, I've been sick seems like forever. I have this weird, apparently somewhat rare, thing called Bells Palsy. Basically half of my face doesn't work right and my eyes are extremely light sensitive. It's a major pain in the ass. Still not right but I was able to manage a short ride today.
My fork travel, with a hard stop, is 3 1/2 inches measured from the dust covers to the tie-wrap. Feels decent while riding.

How far from the tie wrap to the lower triple clamp?

Sounds good. Ride it. Write down your oil level so you can set it the same when you next do a fork oil change.
