Made in Canada. My sister had one in the 70s.
Can not find a flex plate for them. Had to replace the engine and tranny.

I just thought its very coincidentally funny FORD would have the audacity to name a car the same as one of the most famous HDs ever produced. Almost like a Corvette Harley.

There have been a few cars called 'Sportster'. The 1919 Cole Aero Eight Sportster, 1922 Secqueville-Hoyau Sportster, 1925 Stutz 695 Speedway Sportster, 1947 Ford Sportster Woodie Convertible, 1952 Maverick Sportster, and 1953-1954 Packard Clipper Sportster, (and maybe others) all pre dated the Harley Sportster.

A sergeant I was stationed with at McGuire AFB had a 1964, 289, 3 speed on the column, circa 1966-1967. Accelerated well.

My first car was a 1955 Mercury Montclair 2 door hardtop. Late 1955, so it had a 312 instead of a 292. Paid $125 for it, Feb 1964.

I don't mind being in my 50's, I just wish I could tell my younger self to save my money to buy some of those 60's muscle cars that were selling for dirt cheap in the 80's.
