Well spotted! You can just see the cooling fins. I'm not convinced it's a Puch 2-stroke either. Looks more like a flathead four stroke from the era.

Not sure what make, but HD and Indian were not the only ones to make a V-twin after all. The British ones I've scoped out so far do not have hydraulic forks however...

I knew a guy in the 60s who rode around on a BMW with a set of Sportster forks on it. Why not a Harley with a front end off something with a full hub drum brake? That's what it looks like to me; a ULH with a British front end.
