Retard it too much and you would notice poor throttle response, lack of power. Sort of a blup blup blup sound and feel.

George usually has the dyno readings to prove it. The fact that he "thinks" this time means that he may not have put that change on the dyno yet, but probably feels that he went too far (the good old butt dyno). 60Gunner has it right. Once you drop it too far you will feel it acting like it is a tad rich (blubbering), and also feel some hesitation when you nail the throttle.

Well we turned er down to 24 at the drags and Bullpit either left too soft or the motor was soft as the headlight was at the 1 oclock !
