Best is determined by function. And function is defined as fullfilling the intended purpose. And an alternators function is, I believe, to charge the battery on a vehicle. No more really, and certainly no less. Personally- I'll pay less $$$ if I get the same function vs a far higher price. But hey, thats probably just me......
