Anyone ever just tried taking material off the 4 speed is mount? Or remounted it? Tryna put a 96 5 speed on 89 4 speed frame! Tryna do it without buying a ks

Nice to see a few others with 89 inch S&S Sportymotors. Mine is a 91 and I had to do a little clearancing on the frame but not too much.

There is a big difference on the amount of work to do on a 1991 frame as compared to a 1990 (four speed) in order to install the 89"er.I am just breaking in the motor now....less than 200 miles on the eng.

I slipped a 90" 4 speed motor into a 92 5 speed frame, no issues. It is close, but it went
