1987 Dodge Dakota that is currently running like shit (carb problem) and a 1995 Buick (Old man's car but I love the ride) LeSabre with a balky starter motor! My S.O., Legs, has a 2001 Rodeo that rides like a bucking bronco and eats gas and oil like a vulture on a gut wagon. No new 'mobiles for me in a long time. I get by with older stuff I keep running and save the $$$ for college for the kids. In 7 years I'll be home free and there will be a Challenger in my garage with my Sporty and a new Road King.

My guess is a lot of them peel off their black leather costumes and hop in the camry, or tacoma and head to work. I'm curious to know what you folks out there are driving.

Well, first off, you're barking up the wrong tree asking those questions here, cause I don't think this website gets too many of the myopic moronic bigot types (or if we do, they don't last long).

That said, I WAS a dyed-in-the-wool Buy American guy (and I still try to, if they make a product that meets my requirements). I've owned 2 Oldmosbiles, 3 Chevy Trucks, 2 Jeeps, a Saturn and a Geo Tracker (ok, that last one was made in Canada in a joint Chevy/Suzuki plant but still.

When it comes to bikes I've also owned 5 Harleys, 3 BMWs, 2 Moto Guzzis and a number of Jap bikes.

HOWEVER the current fleet is

2000 Moto Guzzi Jackal
2006 Moto Guzzi Breva
2007 Harley 1200L

and car wise

2006 Subaru Baja
2010 Subaru Impreza (replaced a 2003 Mini Cooper S).

I LOVE my Baja, and I bought it for the combo of ruggedness, AWD and decent fuel mileage. If it weren't for the mileage part I'd probably have another Jeep (well that, and the fact that my Jeeps were not as reliable as my Subarus. But I'll likely give Jeep another chance eventually.

My wife wants a BMW or Audi, and she sacrificed not buying one this last time (saving $10-20k on the Impreza). But once she's done with fellowship (another 3.5 years or so) then I'm sure she'll buy an X1, X3 or maybe an Audi wagon.

If I had my druthers I'd probably have a Jeep and/or a WRX, plus another Harley, another Guzzi, possibly a Kawasaki (W650/W800) or a Triumph (Bonnie).

Oh, and there's boats too... current one has an OMC produced Evinrude, but the next will likely have a Bombardier produced Evinrude.

What was the question again? Oh yeah, Stink Eye? You're much more likely to get the stink eye from me cause of pipes than where the bike was built.

I won't let my HD sleep with anything other than a classic. First it was my 1967 Ford Mustang coupe (too many projects/upgrades/customizations to list here)

I sold her in order to purchase my new project, a 1964 Ford Fairlane 500.

Can't forget the wife's 99 Jeep either - that's the one reliable ride out of the lot!
