Gotta story from my pops.
He used to get waved down and complemented so much that he got sick of it. One day his liscense plate fell off, and he ignored the guys trying to tell him for more miles than he should have.
That was the 2nd chopper Era though, and I missed the 3rd (with Jesse James and Orange County and what not) So I don't know yet, so far haven't done much riding in traffic. Our friends obviously do, and our exited we got her going; but we'll have to see.
I complement any ridged or ironhead I get the chance too (naturally though, I don't wave them down) just because I appreciate the style and model (love being connected to the road even more than the metric, I mean any bike beats a cage; but this us a whole new level)
Back on topic, so far only those who appreciate the work (and a few backhanded "complements" about the noise. *most beautiful sound in the world to me
Well see as the days pass and we take further rides though.
Edit, I am referring to biker complements, or people going out of thier way though, hell cagers and tweaks think my shadow is a sight to behold! I think every biker today gets complements on the regular, you just learn to tune them out when there from people who obviously have no idea what they're talking about ...... except kids. All the kids love us, think all our bikes are the coolest thing ever (make sense we're kinda just big kids ourselves!)

Nobody used to notice my sporty, but now they do since installing the hammer 1275 and other goodies! They notice me when I blast by them and become a blurry blob in the distance way up ahead.
Love my sporty! Friends call her the bionic Sportster!
