You cannot compromise, anything on a daily ridden stroker. Except for maybe aesthetics. Contrary to belief, they can be reliable daily riders.
I would assume if we add up our own actual labor costs, there are small fortunes being spent on street ridden IH’s.
FWIW , I’ve never had a stuck plunger.

I had my first ride on a Sportster in 1964.
It's true I haven't ridden much on the street in the last few years. But I was 21 before I bought a car, Never had anything but bikes. Had them all my life.

Several of us have as much or more invested in 900 strokers as you do in race bikes.
|
My current race engine I have oer $12,000 AUD invested in. I have close to 30K in the bike.
I don't make decisions for anyone. I'm happy to tell them what I have done. I often preface that with the fact that I'm doing stuff on race engines, not street stuff (for the most part).
But I'm starting to see the whole world become divided. I don't want to add to that.
So, I think I'll just go back into my workshop and leave you guys to it.
Good Bye and Good Luck.
