Default Road assistance needed!! (or bike swap)

Hi there folks! A good friend of mine is currently stuck with his bike in Boston on his way to a big road trip... He came from Europe (Serbia) to spend vacation with his wife, and they were about to ride the route 66, but unfortunately his '85 FXEF Fat Bob bailed on him, with what it seems to be a clutch failure. He purchased the bike in US about a month ago, didn't know much on its history The HD Dealership refused to assist due to "not servicing anything older then 20 years'' (morons) and now he's pretty sc*ewed, since he do not have any tools or a place where to take a closer look and maybe fix the damn thing. If someone is able to assist in any way, I'll leave his info & location. He would be willing to do a quick swap for another bike (even sportster), just to be able to finish the roadtrip (so it might also be a good opportunity for someone who's willing to do a bike swap). Thanks!

He's currently located at 30 North Rd, Bedford, MA 01730 , his US number is 1 (207) 352-8559

What are clutch failure symptoms?
Is clutch cable freeplay properly adjusted?
Is oil proper? (not automotive oil?)

Take it to an independent shop, if it needs a clutch. If parts available, in and out in a day, most likely.

I posted his info on North American Biker Rescue group on Facebook.
I’m not near Bedford but hopefully there’s someone who is.

Maybe he can call Marks Motorcycle service in Bedford
