Default Gear and brake linkage

Hi all.
Does anyone know or can you direct me who does the length of the gear and brake linkage rods for std forwards on a 2004 sportster.
I have one of those short reach kits on mine and need to remount them for my longer legs. The ones on now have been shortened to about 16.5"(brake) the gear has been bent and cut.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

For 2004 the brake rod is 34581-04 and the shifter rod link is 34573-04.

The brake rod is about 19" long but incorporates the rod ends.

The rod on the gear shifter assembly is 6.25" plus the amount of thread going into each rod end joint. I cannot give the exact length only the exposed length.

stainless rod and some stainless coupler nuts and you can make your own. get 304 because it is machinable aka easier to thread.

Careful consideration has to be given for the brake rod as clearly you do not want it to flex. The size of the rod will then determine the size of the rod end or heim joint you will need unless you go large enough to have a thread hole created in it.

A larger heim joint tends to lead to a larger ball and a larger screw. The screw that goes into the brake peddle is not very big.

Which is probably why HD welded the ball joint on the end of a rod capable of doing the job.

F.W.I.W. the cost of the adjustable rod from DK was nearly the same as what H.D. Wanted for a non adjustable rod.

Yes mate i was looking at doing my own but like you say then you end up with joints that that screw will just pass through the eye. Mine has been cut and welded when the last owner fitted the reduced reach kit.
