I don't know how big your screen is, but on my screen that image is bigger than actual size. One of the great things about that little kit is that it not only that it is tiny for travel, but the bits sit through the ratchet and need VERY little clearance. With it you've got metric and standard hex keys, a variety of screwdriver tips, I THINK my kit has some Torx too (mine has no open spots in the trays). Just add a set of sockets and a couple of wrenches and you're covered.

Ahh yes, here's mine:

Ohhh, here's one with just ratchet, driver, standard allen keys, screwdriver bits and 1/4" socket driver

My ‘15 FSM says: Remove nut and ring terminal from negative battery ground stud. The FSM does not say what tools to use.

Before I left for Sturgis, I tried to check my gound-cable connection at the engine. I couldn’t figure out a way to do it with the tools I have. On the models with the ECM under the seat it might have been doable with a 1/4” U-joint connector.

Gave some thought to this on the ride to/from Sturgis (got home last night):
- 1/4”-drive flex socket?
- Snap-on 1/4”-drive Flank Drive Plus crowfoot on the end of a 1/4” U-joint?
- Can one of those “spring-type” flex connectors transmit enough torque to loosen and tighten the ground nut?
- If necessary, just run a new ground cable to a more-accessible, good, clean ground connection on the engine?

Guess I’ll have to find the engine ground this winter and see what might get at this bugger...

I used a 3/8" drive with a 7/16" socket on a universal joint & a long extension. Once you get the factory connection at the top of the tranny case off, reattach it to the back side of the primary, where the other, smaller ground from the battery is. At least it is on my '09. I made new cables from #2 welding cable, but I think the stock one is long enough to route over the top of the battery & down to that point. Also makes it much easier to get the battery out. Don't have the ground cable hanging up on the right side of the battery box.

BKB - The 2014+ bikes are a bit different. Changed the battery mounting and also managed to stuff more stuff in the way...
