I had two:
1972 Triumph Trident - prettiest and worst motorcycle ever
1975 Laverda SF2 - ugliest and best motorcycle ever
Nothing before or after has touched them.

- 1958 Triumph 6T Thunderbird, for one big trip in particular
- 1974 BMW R60/6, I did a lot of miles on that bike
- 1942 Harley WL, the one I bought in 1988 and sold to fund....
- 1974 Harley FLH, stolen in 1990, best shovelhead I ever owned by a considerable margin
- 1976 Morini Strada, lovely thing to ride
- 1960 BSA Gold Flash
Bikes I enjoyed, but wouldn’t have another...
- Ducati 900SS, a big bundle of electrical problems on two wheels
Bikes which have escaped me...
- 80” Evolution Road King, I rode one once and didn’t have the money
- Sportster XR1200. Rode it, liked it very much in some ways, didn’t have the money at the time
- Triumph Street Twin. Should have bought it instead of the T100
- Indian 101 Scout
- Indian FTR1200S... this bike has to belong here, because I won’t get one at my time of life
- Harley KR

I wish I could have kept my 2006 883 Sportster but it was a rough patch in my life and I was forced to sell it.
I've have many other bikes over the past 30 years but the ones I miss the most aside from the Sportster are these:
1982 Honda GL-500 Interstate (full dress CX-500)
1981 Yamaha XS-650
1981 Honda FT-500 Ascot

I can think of three I wish I’d kept - a 1973 Triumph Tiger 750, a 1975 Honda MR175, and a 1982 Yamaha Seca 650.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it (especially if you don't know what you're doing). Most Sportster problems are owner-induced.

My Honda CR125 - after a great season of motocross, I sold it to my fiancee's cousin for only $350. He paid me $20 every two weeks and of course I didn't save the whole amount. I blew through the $20 every time and when it was paid off, I had nothing to show for it....

I noticed the 1970 Honda CL350 on your list. I have a 1969 CL350 that I did keep - I got it new in the summer of ‘69 while I was in high school, and I still have it.
