Its a dog eat dog world out there. Not like the sporty world where the choices are few and the best obvious.
When I did my simple cam upgrade and usual lifters/pushrods/inner bearings I priced it all at FM and literally saved over $400 buying it from a little known S&S authorized dealer known mainly for the Johnson Hylift lifters who btw make S&S lifters for them who in turn jacks up the price considerably for their label on them. There's only 2 places period that make lifters and at one point they were both owned by the same people.
In fact the moco used the johnson hylifts from '98 - '02 til a cost saving measure landed them with the delphi that's changed twice now.
Count your blessings y'all have it easy. Hammer is the real deal and the only logical choice.
They're getting my business when the time comes for headwork and my BB kit on my 103/107 build as I just don't trust anyone in the TC world.
They frown on anyone who knows a little and us do it yourselfers.

Dunno where you get that from, but Zippers kits on TC are walking the dog on S&S kits at the track. I see more Zippers parts than S&S unless it’s a set of cases or a complete engine from S&S. Then again, many of us are old school and still use T&O wheels for strokers instead of S&S

Well
Probably not
Bike is parked and sits on an angle so it wont drain much back if you dont have the valve.
Not sure if the 1348 has a valve, the 1516 does and its as long as the 1215

^^^ thanks.after i use up the 7148's i would prefer a filter without the a.d.b. valve.simple is good with me. i may be mistaken but when first doing a comparison to the filter on my'03 the 7148 looked smaller in o.d.?
