Hmm. interesting bit about exhaust back pressure. I have Standard, unmodified mufflers. I can see how this would worsen a spitback. Bike doesn't do it now so I won't be testing this.

is the epoxy in your ports able to withstand ironhead combustion temps? brazing rod was more commonly used.

It's not the temperature that worries me but the resistance to modern alcohol fuels. This is they highest rated stuff I could get a hold of and I used it as a temporary repair on the inside of a Ducati fuel tank and it worked OK. Plastic padding epoxy metal.
