Just curious but what sized baffle did you have 1.75", 2" or 2.25"?

Mine were 1.75 and were too loud for me. I had too many cops giving me the eye. I love my Supertrapp Supermegs exhaust. Not real loud and a good performer.

If my memory serves me well they were 2.25" & then I bought 1.75" which were still loud.

Yes, I still need to buy a tuner. Especially now that I have an air filter kit to install.

Maybe its because I'm old and my hearing is not so good, but my 2" baffles didn't seem that much louder than my stocks, just a better tone. Definitely still quieter than most of the other bikes around here. So far no one has complained or hassled me about them (or maybe they are just giving an old fart a free pass)

Did you contact Rush customer service? I have communicated with them a couple of times and found them to be very responsive and helpful. They may have been able to help you through the problem before you went to the expense of replacement.

Personally I would recommend their product, as I feel they are well made and perform to my expectations. Sorry to hear you had such a poor experience.
I did not contact them. Never thought about it lol. My new Vance and Hines straight shot slip ons came in today and installed them. Retuned the bike with the FP3 and took it for a ride. Omg these are a lot louder than the rush slip ons!

stainless steel mesh works well and does not burn out. you could also use curly "q" scrub pads.

My Rush Slip-ons are really solid pipes and appear well made. Fitted my 08 fine. I had tied the fibre packing down with lengths of thin copper wires going around onto the baffles. Seemed to hold ok.
Even with 1.75 Baffles is way too loud for me.
