Default Need to get bike from Moncton to Fort Mac to AB

Greetings!

This question is more aimed at the Canucks in the crowd...don't mean to exclude our cousins south of the 49th but getting things done in the Great White North can require a bit more effort, being less services to work with.

I was hoping somebody would have recommendations or a positive experience to relate wrt shipping bikes within Canada. I need to get a bike from Moncton, N.B to Fort McMurray, AB.

No panic 'cause there's no need til the snow melts but I'd like to get my head around this.

Obviously, the most fun option would be to fly down and ride back or drive down and trailer it back. But once you factor in time (11,000 klic round trip) accomodation, meals, gas, breakdown, wear and tear on my ass..it starts to make sense to ship.

I've done some poking around on line and "JC Motors Motorcycle Transport" seem to have a good thing going...anybody do business with these guys? Any thoughts as to a better choice of shippers?

All the best,
Grover

I contacted a friend in Toronto....he moves around a lot...he said he has used them a couple of times and they were very reliable, and he never had any issues with their handling of his two bikes.

Thanks for the info, NoBo's! I'm gonna give them a whirl.

I've got fond memories of N.S., spent a couple of years there with Forces in Cornwallis and Greenwood. Only place I've ever been where you could count on 3 flavours of weather every day!
Some kinda fun cruisin' in the summer, though, eh?!

All the best,
Phil

I don't know if I'm too late but, Ive been doing a little research myself and "Caneda Transport " might be able to help you out. They said they would get a bike from Los Angeles to Calgary for only $740 (depot to depot) and a guy down the block from me got his bike from T.O. (sorry I don't remember how much).
