Default W&W regulator

Having tracked down my ongoing charging issues to the new regulator being knackered after only a couple of months! I'm looking at the various options available. Has anyone used this W&W part no 13-602 regulator & end cover? https://www.wwag.com/cgi-bin/WebObje...?page=%2138547

Any comments good or bad? Cheers

Hhmmm, you may have to order that part from Germany. Are you close by to there?

In any case, it looks interesting. Have not seen it before.

need to track down why your other one went south. at 110 bucks, more expensive than the other type. being under the cover can add heat issues. i have been running a electronic unit mounted where the original mechanical one was for at least a decade.

No opinion on that (no name) regulator, but if it were me, I'd pony up the extra money for the 13-603. Excellent company reputation, original provider to the MoCo of their generators and a 2 year warranty.

Check out the Custom Chrome 28615. It sure looks like the same innards and the Custom Chrome kit comes with the end cap too.

Thanks for the views guys, I'm in the UK so no problems getting stuff from Germany. At least we don't get stiffed for extra customs duty when buying from there!!

Cheers

Update; The Custom Chrome 28615 is out of stock everywhere I've been able to check and even Custom Chrome has no idea when/if they'll be seeing more.
I ended up going with a solid state, 12v repop of the old 45"/knucklehead voltage regulator. It's about a quarter of the size of the Bosch-- about the size of an ironhead starter relay.

Hi, do you have any details about these units? make, model ref?

Whilst I'd love to go for the Cycle Electric unit I can't afford nearly £200 for one!

Cheers.
