Back in the early 90s i had a bell full face that saved my life. I hit a stopped pickup that had no brake lights at about 45 mph. Lower part of the front of the helmet hit the tailgate, Even though the helmet cracked halfway down the lower face part, knocked my teeth loose and gave me a major neck wrenching, i am sure i would have been dead without it.
I support everyone's personal choice, but for me, now at 50, i wear boots, gloves, jacket and a JaiKai modular full face helmet every single time, Often in 90+ degree heat.
Its much lighter than my old bell and i have no doubt it isn't nearly as strong, but its comfortable,The Vents breathe pretty well and it doesn't buffet much in the wind. It also has the built in sun-visor, which is nice in SW Florida.
Like i said, its not my old Bell, Nowhere near as stong, but its DOT Certified and i don't feel like i'm wearing a ton of plaster on my head and my neck isn't killing me after a long ride.
