Around 1972 Howard Allen ran I believe just over 200 on a 1200cc Sporty on 98% nitro. this was under the old AMA rules. Next time I see him I'll try and get a pic of the cert.

I just heard the Discovery Channel has contacted howard Allen to do an interview with him for an upcoming show. Howard is 86 YO and still works in his garage/shop 3 or 4 days a week. The collection of old, old Harley parts is amazing. Many in the original packaging. It will be a very sad day when this man passes. The knowledge and experience will be gone forever.

Good morning!
Who else has an active case of Salt Fever?
I retired from riding after '19.
But remain active in LSR ; developing ignition sensors for EFI, intake manifolds, and fenders.
Currently working on a generic tailpiece.
