Think Boils down to riding style and what you prefer in Looks and Sound. I may be giving up a little HP with V&H but Love the Looks and Sound ..

Hey Red... do you still have a crossover tube on your exhaust system? I have a friend with straightshots on her 883 and it seems like there's nobody home below 4k rpm. I was wondering if that is the smaller displacement of the 883 or the pipes... maybe you could shed some light for me?

No Crossover tube. I picked up a lot of torque down low. It must be the 883. I can more easily light up the rear tire with the V&H then I was able to with the SE's

I voted 4 V&H. I have the short shots and have noticed a small improvement in horse-power. Maybe I just think I do anyway. I like the way they look and sound on my bike as well. That to me is one of the important factors.....my 2cents worth anyway.

I had the SE II's, and now run the V&H StraightShots, don't feel any loss of power, none that I can perceive anyway. But I gotta be honest, I bought the pipes for the looks and sound...
I'm running the ThunderCity Monster baffles, and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't piss some grandma off, or set off a scooter alarm...and I love that!

I converted to 1200 using Wiseco pistons, and drilled out my stock cylinders, with oversize valves in the stock 883 heads.
Do want a little more hp and torque down low, so am also trying to decide on which cams to get...Andrews N4, SE bolt in or high performance...
Suggestions?
Here my dyno results...

I run the SE II and I love them. I have never tried the V&H so I really have nothing to compare too, but I really dont much like the looks of them. I like my SE II and they seem to go well with my riding style.

The Andrews N4 are the same as the SE .497's ANdrews makes them for Screamin' Eagle.
