I went through this same thing with my 'Dodge' Sprinter and in the end when trying to get parts and diagnostic tools Dodge told me it's a Mercedes and Mercedes told me it's a Dodge... can you get Buell specific parts at an HD stealership?

I dont know exactly what years Harley manufactured the Buell motorcycle.
But, Buell is basically a Streetbike with a hot sportster engine.
93-03 parts fit the Buell...I could be wrong on the years though.

I can't get a rear wheel for my 2006 XL1200C at a Harley dealership.
(Part # 41013-00A WHEEL 16 INCH, SOLID WITH SLOTS, W/O BEARINGS & SLEEVE (CHROME) Not Available )
Does that mean it's not a Harley?

Talk is talk. And people say many things that don't (to me) merit consideration
Things are what they are

Funny you mention a HD stealership. I called an HD dealership the other day to ask a question about my oil filter and was asking about the one I was looking at in autozone and he said OHHHH you should buy HD oil filters since they have these micro filaments or something in them that are superior. I just rolled my eyes. I never really liked the dealerships. They charge too much money for EVERYTHING.
As to Buell's I thought they looked Okay. I think it has the soul of HD more or less. Wasn't my cup of tea though.
