Full face, Half or skull cap?
Which do you use?
I use full face for 1 reason and thats because I watched a friend dump a bike at 30 mph avoiding a dog. I saw the helmet afterwards and it had a huge chuck torn out of the front and rear in places that wouldve been his chin and back of head had he not been wearing it. Chin wouldve been wrecked wearing a skull cap.
He walked away from the wreck - bike was totaled.
I wore a skull cap once and did enjoy it, but I wont switch from my full face for protection reasons.

Bugs too.. forgot about that. I can smile under my full face which has been unavoidable riding my new Harley, and not worry about bugs in my teeth.

I miss voted, I currently have a 1/2 helmet, but in the fall, I will be picking up a full face helmet so I can ride more in the cooler weather. My helmet is showing some signs of wear so I will probably be in the market for a new one by this time next year and I am looking into the carbon fiber/kevlar type helmets...

I've been wearing the 1/2 helmet lately but prefer the full-face. I need a new one.

I don't wear a helmet a lot of the time. I do when racing, riding up to Georgia(required) or know I'm going to be in cold or bad weather. Full face is my choice.

Wore a FF last season, switched to a 1/2 this season. I like the 1/2 a little better. More comfortable, not as hot + you get the wind in your face. I found myself always popping up my shield on my FF. That is why I switched

I wear a bowl shaped helmet that fits from the ears up. It is DOT and seems to be heavy when on long rides.
I want to try one of those light DOT's
