Default Cheers from Germany

Hi there, I shortly want to introduce myself!
My name is Ralf , I'm from the south of Germany, 50 years old and a metal fabricator/welder by trade. In my leisure time I love to drink beer, listen to punk rock, wrench on my bikes and ride them.
Since two years I'm the proud owner of a 1977 XLH
The former owner tried to transform the looks of the Sporty into a "big twin", by changing the fuel tank, the forks and so on. I respect everybodies taste but in my opinion a Ironhead is meant to be a lean and nasty riding machine...
...so at the moment I change the appearance of the bike. I have a couple of questions and where else could I get such expert advise ?
All the best from Ulm

Ralf

Hi Folkie, thank you!
A buddy and I toured parts of England on our Royal Enfields last year...
the south coast -Brighton, Dartmoor, Land's end
up to Exmoor - Birmingham and Redditch
and parts of the east coast
We' ve been to the National Motorcycle Museum and the "Royal Enfield Pub" in Redditch.
It was absolutely stunning, we met only friendly and helpful people.
I go there again, that's for shure. Next time probably on my Ironhead...

Bon jour to France!
My wife and me visited France this year. We bought a used campervan from the Belgium "Chateau" brand. It was clear, the first journey with the Chateau has to be to other Chateaux. Therefore we travelled along the Loire and ended up in La Rochelle, where we visited a friend. On the way back I bought a knife in Laguiolle. The journey was tres bien, I have to go there again. But nexttime 100% with a tent and a motorcycle!

Hi Paul, thanks for the warm welcome! I've been to Chicago 35 years ago to visit my aunty. She owned a tiny hut somewhere at a lake in Michigan. Can't remember exactly where it was. I really liked it because I was allowed to drink beer while sitting in the boat, holding the fishing rod. I got permission since it was "only" light beer :-)
Sweet memories of Michigan!
