I hear you. I'm 6'5" and weigh 205, and I just can't get them dialed in right. I'd just like to be able to throw a longer damper rod (like the ones trackerdie makes) and some progressive springs in, maybe with 2" extended tubes to match the slightly lifted rear of my bike.

well anything can be done as long as the laws of Physics are observed... I've got a couple extra S front ends in the pile-o-parts... Maybe a possible path would look at Honda's with 39mm Showa forks and respring/revalve.. this is the stance I went for...

I've thought about doing an inverted front end, much more involved than just gutting and swapping internals and upper sliders though. I like the looks of the triumph tiger front end on this purpose built moto sportster
I'm not sure if I want to get into all of the math for figuring out what forks work with the sporty frame and dialing in rake and trail and all of that (at least right now). |

XR1200 is bolt on literally... down to the steering stem, steering locks, tach/speedo, headlight, bars are same part number as the 83 XR and 99S...
I did have to solve the turn signal mounting (with a couple 56mm steering damper clamps and some time on the Mill... In the case of the XR/XR setup its not easy mounting a 3/4" axle wheel on a 1" axle however i figued out how to do it...
all documented with part numbers and dimensions... |

people ask me all the time what year is my 99S... your gonna have to do your research if you wanna build your vision...
the MOCO is a Parts Bin company... and they use mostly Sunstar Rotors and SHOWA suspension on the performance models...

on my XR I used NOS XR1000 19" front wheels and Dunlop K180's....
and on my street XL I used 18" XR1200X front wheels... and Dunlop TrailMAX...

Fuel stains on case covers.
Anyone know a good product or method for removing gasoline stains from our 'S' case covers?
