Not sure as I'm not a welder but I', thinking the welding process will effect the hardening.

I couldn't see any chips on the lobes in the photos in the lusting. If the number 4 cam is unusable and je knew that when he listed them then he misrepresented what he was selling. Ask him to supply another cam or provide a refund.

Does the lifter definitely ride on the area the chip is ? The rollers have been narrowed in the past as a performance improvement. If it was narrowed how close to the chip would it go ?

here will be a no. 4 minuus ,imus out there looking for a home the hard part would be finding it.

But you might try asking people like Keenan Tatro if they still have one kicking around.
There was a guy on enay some time back selling a lot of odd old Sifton cams.

The Boss exhausts would probably work pretty well and would allow you to run a "quitter" (more restrictive than open drags) exhaust system on the street.

I just purchased the SIFTON Titan cams off Ebay for $325 plus tax and shipping. Quotes to repair so far have been $600 to 1200. A new set of Red Line cams is $435. There's a nice set of Andrews V9 available for even less. I am hoping a replacement for my #4 can be located if not my wish to run Titan may be minus minus.

I just spoke with Webcamshafts. They want cams to look at for official quote but estimate about $150 per lobe that needs work. Not too bad I suppose.
