Hi Xena
I sent you an email

Regarding the backfire on startup, you could try to set the Cranking Rev figure to 2

Not sure if you can do that with FACTORY FLASH set or not... but you could try this

In the software click
File
Create new table
Select Race
Then select the sliders 2 & 0

That creates a new map that is identical to the built in FLASH map with dials set to 2 & 0

Set cranking rev to 2 In the Edit module parameters page and obviously EEPROM

UPLOAD that to EEPROM and you will have the Hammer recommendation of 2 0
Remember of course to set dials on 5 & 5

If you don’t know, setting crsnking revs to 2 means the ignition does not fire until 2 revolutions of the crank
Getting the motor spinning before it fires the plugs might stop the backfire

Don’t know for sure, but worth trying

Mine pops on occasion. One time, right at startup, then it runs fine. Cranking revs have always been at least 1, been running 2 for a couple of years now. Still does it. My problem could be totally unrelated, but I know that doesn't change a thing on mine.

Also, I doubt it's the issue if other maps don't cause the same phenomenon with the same setting there. Unless of course they weren't set the same between different maps.

I tried the 2/0 as suggested by Hammer

half the time when using that setting. Never
happened before with any other Maps.
My email is sporty04 at gmail dot com and put
TC88A in subject line if anyone wants
to try my Map but you may want to take note of my set up listed in
my sig.

Hey girl. Doing good.
I just didnt want to make your map available for download in the sporterpedia. Your black panther map was a big influence on my finished product.
I know you've tweaked further and have a new one you're running too.
