Default Lowering XLCH XLH - 13.5" Full Covered Shocks

Hey all, have researching looking into options on lowering earlier XLCHs while keeping the full covered shock look.

In doing so I came across some posts on here suggesting running big twin shocks to achieve this at the expense of ride comfort. Progressive shocks are possibly another option, but are more expensive and I couldn't find a pair with full covers at 13.5" for the life of me.

So, in hopes of saving somebody on this path some time ... Call Kirk @ sportyspecialties.com. He can order you a pair of 13.5" full covered reproductions for early sportsters for ~$170.

Will post an update on how they feel once I get em.

@Rennie - Looks good on your XLS! ...Is that a 21" front wheel? If so how much did you lower your front end?

My Youngest rode 13.5's for a long time...Thought a Bolt-on Hrd tail would be lower....Nope...About the same as 13" shocks...so maybe .5" is about all you would loose.
