stress killer
after the end of a hard day at the job
the daughter in Ireland
the wife on duty at the job
a ride of 50 km out of the big city... towards the mountains
by a overcast dusk on a cloudy day
Street empty... no traffic jam... no rumours
no need to smoke
no need to eat
no need to drink
you kill the stress just riding your bike
how many of you have sometimes felt the same
good night from Italy

I feel the same way everyday.
My new job requires me to drive my car frequently and because of this my stress has risen tremendously.
The sad news:
My sportster is still torn apart waiting to be cleaned and painted before being reassembled and tuned.
My S3T blew the Socket Shaft Seal and I am fixing that now.
My new XB12R will not be here for a couple of weeks.
I have been stuck in my cage for a couple of months now and desperately need out.
When I get home after work riding any of my motorcycles, I usually have a smile on my face and love in my heart, no matter what the traffic is like. When I get home from work after commuting in my car, don't speak to me for 15 minutes while I de-stress (it easy at my house).

+1 day off yesterday, breakfast at the Harley diner in Preston, over the moors to Rivington then Belmont (reservoir rides in Lancashire). Was going to go to Bury but saw a sign for Hall i' th' wood(Tudor house & museum in a wood in the middle of a housing estate) and decided to see if I could find it open having twice found it shut on previous visits. Was in luck and had a look at exhibits, rode back to Preston to Hoghton Tower but couldn't get parked near enough (very stiff with arthritis), rode back to Blackpool then along the coast birdwatching at Cleveleys & Fleetwood then back to Blackpool 120 miles, must get a comfortable seat & suspension!

My little brother was killed by a cage ten years ago this past July. On the anniversary of his death i took off by myself for about 8 hours and 250 miles (7000km, I think) and it was wonderful. Nothing clears your head like time in the wind.

Yep, my teammate can tell if my bike is down for a while, she says "Did you get your brakes fixed this week end?" Which is of course her way of saying "I know you didn't get a ride in this weekend because your a bit grouchy".
Anyway I think I can sum it up like this, Yep it gets me were I want to go with a smile on my face!

Yep, about anytime, anywhere, can't put a price on that smile. Also, being blessed with some great riding partners helps to put proper perspective on the road time.

It's an addiction. All I want to do some days is find the horizon, but real life won't let me!

ohhh
you can bet on that... and say it in a loud voice...
sometimes is like a time machine... it made you return back to your youth... when you rode 50 (actually 80cc) or 125 (actually 200cc) very old motorbikes...
but you were the happiest guy in the world... and spent whole afternoon on your garage working with your friends around their bikes...
