Hogtunes In-Fairing Bluetooth Audio Controller
I installed one of these bluetooth controllers in my son's StreetGlide, yesterday.
It was plug and play, and it replaced the "ambient temp. gauge" to the left of his CD Player. Taking apart the fairing, to install it, was very, very easy to do.
My son had spent some time reviewing U-tube videos and said that most of the installers had complained how hard it was to take apart and access the inside of the fairing. Not so, it was simple and easy. Bonus is the fact that you can use the bike's volume control and channel switches. Remove the headlight asm. (1 screw holding the chrome ring and 4 screws holding the HL frame), remove the bolts holding the w/s (3 bolts), remove the 4 bolts holding the outer fairing to the inner part (2 more bolts holding the bottom are between the fork tubes). Off comes the batwing shell, remove the brace that's connected to the left speaker (1 bolt, 1 screw), cut 2 zip-ties so you can move the harnesses around and access the back of the ambient temp gauge.
Always read thru the instructions, first.
They make a universal one that is cheaper and this would be easily adapted to any bike with a sound system.
My son loves it, he says it eliminates the hassle of "earbuds" and cords running everywhere.
the only thing missing from the kit were more zip-ties.
