Buell upper end on 883 Sporty
I have a nice low mileage 2001 883....I can get my hands on a good running Buell Lightning engine, it's the type with the plastic overs over the pushrods but it's a fuel injection engine.....Can the heads and cylinders from the Buell bolt onto my 883? Is they any easy way to adapt a carb onto the ijection heads? Thanks

I looked around some and it appears a later model FI manifold can be modified for a carb....So if the heads and cylinders bolt on, that would be nice...

I think so, but if you visit the “Hammer Performance” stir they have many good technical sections, one in particular addresses heads and usage.

Seems that was downdraft FI and the bolt pattern is the same as carb heads.
