ok, I think I figured out the reason for a bit of confusion (on my part anyway).....
Outlined in RED in the pic below, the entire bottom portion of the Golan rotates (not just the lever alone).

nice to finally see a picture of the golan,i've been hearing about them for years.i think i like my pingel better but the detent feature with the golan is nice.

After I fitted my new Pingel the lever would move about on it’s own while riding and turn the fuel off randomly, after about a week I decided I would take it off but it suddenly started to play ball.

Fuel inlet to rear? Install inlet fitting pointing straight up and use a left exit Pingle...this will allow you to run a 5" fuel line to carb that does not loop around bottom of carb.....just like a stock 1977 with stock Keihin

Found this Dapco tap in the parts stash, seems nice so going to give this a try before shelling out....can practically hear eyeballs rolling from here...got to be better than the trickle Im getting now.
It’s 1/4NPT so bought an adaptor...might lose some reserve.
