I have never used that lift, but some similar types in an industrial setting. Limited in what it can do. It would be hard to maneuver with the load.

I’d just assume have a fold away “engine hoist”.
Thanks so much for your reply.

It’s not a lift though. It’s a lift GATE. On that I hang a winch manually operated.

How do you know it is hard to maneuver with a load?
So apparently you have used one and found that out, right?

Thanks again,
Harry.

I would think that is better than a mean forum member taking offense to your attitude and deliberately giving you incorrect information.

I was interested in reading brucstoudt's quote from the 900 FSM about using a spare engine bracket to lift the engine. My 1985 FSM doesn't have that but it should still work. I've added that to my personal Tips & Tricks list.

It's off-topic replies like that that can save time or money or skin...

$450? I will pay that much including the manually operated winch.
Rollers tend to be troublesome. After reading all kind of reviews.

If I put the gate on a piece of carpet and I suspect it will slide just fine.
The way I have it all set up next to my frame on a K&L lift it won’t need to slide more than a few inches.

At least that is what I think it will do. I had hoped to hear from somebody that has actually use this lift-gate and this particular winch. I suspect I’m not gonna find anybody.

Thanks.

Maxeffort. the overhead gantry is a design with multipule uses. my dad built one for 2 of the the garages he owned.unfortunately to pull an XL motor from it's frame you need to pull on an angle which having a trolley on wheels would make it difficult without counter measures.

I am in 100 percent agreement with this.

I am not old enough to remember what happened at the Chosin Reservoir, but I sure know what happened there. China is an enemy of the United States.

Kudos to you for trying to avoid buying goods manufactured there.

Probably better than the H/F thing I have.....but it suits my needs at age 72...
