I really am thinking that I need to adjust the float height. That makes sense to me.

...I just don't know how to adjust float height. I'll look into it. Thanks folks.

Screw driver to bend tab dowm to shut off float earlier, Bend tab up to shut off float later.

Edit: Must have been toasted when I wrote that. I got that ass backwards. Bend tab up to shut off sooner.

Since yours is over flowing. Bend the tab down. My rule of thump for quick float adjustment is to raise carb at eye level upside down. When float shuts off needle. If float looks level. Not angled up or down. I call it good and reassemble.

I have not starved the carb of gas or had the over flow puke gas using my method.
Others use a float guage. FSM will tell ya how also.

I just bought one of these on Amazon actually:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...34AEN231&psc=1

I don't want to pay the motorcycle shop 35-50 dollars an hour if I can calibrate it with one of these. I found a couple YouTube tutorials too. I'm going to take it off again this weekend and figure out what's what. I think that this might be the last time I've got to pull that thing off.

Thanks for all of your help. I'll get it runnin' right!

I use the visual upside down method myself. I also try to blow air in past the seat. It should not allow air to pass.

I would get the carb fixed. You don't want gas in your oil!

Might be good to find somebody for the carb?

I like my loud old scooter. It do help with the third-worlders and 'yokkers around here.
