I have never been to an XLF ride, but I really would like to, seems like I may be in Gillette, WY and have to come from there and then when it is over I would have to head to Lincoln, NE for the Fourth. I don't know how energetic I would be once I got to WV but I really would like to meet all of the legendary gearheads of XLF and I think the opportunity to ride with you would be the bomb.

Is that road paved or gravel? I seem to remember it being gravel at least part of the way.

Close up on google map and in some web photos it looks paved. Most likely stone/stone dust in the rougher parts like other roads in the area.

I hope to see a lot more of the WV country side at this event as long as the weather behaves.

W. K. R. P. In Cincinnati! Arrived at Crusty’s safe and sound and dry. Followed BKB over from Prospect staying almost the whole way on US42, a very nice road to ride. It has “character “ hills and curves but beware Brian’s radar detector was singing many times, saved us some travel money for sure! Raining now, surprise, waiting for Roy to arrive coming from Parkersburg.

I'm still watching the long-range forecast for the 27th & 28th... Hoping that the weather cooperates so I can choose to make it - and enjoy the ride down and back to/from the meet & greet...
