40mm CV vs. S&S Super E for Draw thought Turbo!
I have an Extra Ironhead I have been building for shits n giggles and I want to toss a small turbo on.
I have the everything else figured out. The last big question is which carb will work best?
Now this is not a barn burner build or track build. It's a crap barn find bike refreshed but still barn find ugly this was the intent and direction. The intention of the turbo is just a low boost attention getter and conversation starter. But I do need it to run, start, and idle...
So which should I go with?
40mm CV carb
S&S Super E
thanks

The Keihin CV40 is rated about 190 CFM.
1200cc at 7500 RPM is about 160 CFM.
1200 cc x 7,500 RPM = 9,000,000 cubic centimeters per minute.
Divide by 2 for a 4 stroke (fires alternate revs) = 4,500,000 cc per minute
Converted to cubic feet per minute = 158.916 CFM
The CV40 is more than adequate.
