Default June 8th, 2019: Ironhead Rider's Gathering, PA/NJ (Spring 2019 G.B.B)

As Spring dawns on 2019 and the world begins to turn warm and green again, it is also time to blow the dust off our Ironheads and get them back on the road.

For eight years now, Spring had also been the time when Ironhead riders gather in PA/NJ to celebrate the greatest motorcycle ever made over a diner breakfast. We traditionally gather twice each year at event called the "GBB" to meet, eat, and ride.

If you are unfamiliar with the GBB Ironhead Gatherings, a simple forum search will yield 8 years worth of documented Ironhead fun. But the simple version is that the GBB is the world's PREMIER Ironhead Sportster gathering.

The date has been set for the Spring 2019 GBB:

When: Saturday, June 8th, 2019
Where: Orlando's Cafe (the former Brass Ring Diner) - 310 Rt. 31 North, Hopewell, NJ 08525
Time: 10:00 A.M.

We will gather at Orlando's Cafe to eat breakfast. Then, many of us like to take a little ride together (nothing official - just some folks taking an informal, scenic ride), usually about 50 miles with a stop or two thrown in. All are welcome to tag along. Finally, we will end up back at Ironheadquarters (near Frenchtown, NJ) for a picnic and refreshments. All attendees are welcome at the picnic, but understand that this is a strict IRONHEAD-ONLY event. All Ironhead Sportster riders are welcome: Restorations, choppers, bobbers, cafe racers, rat bikes, big wheel baggers, OCC theme bikes, and stockers. It doesn't matter what style of ironhead you ride, or if it's shiny or rusty - just be a cool person who enjoys RIDING Ironheads!

*disclaimer* The GBB is an informal gathering of riders. Nothing is official except the date. If you want to come, then ride over and have a great time. If you can't make it, then don't...no excuses. No need to RSVP, just get in the garage and make sure your bike is ready for June 8th if you want to hang out.

Here is the info for our meeting point, Orlando's Cafe:

And here is a video from our last event in Spring 2018:

And of course, here are some photos of previous GBB's to entice you!

I am hoping to attend this event, and the meet and greet, I am not sure if my iron head is ready for the long journey, but my deluxe is. see what happens. it is almost ready.. keep my fingers crossed.

The fella on the black Triumph is my neighbor. I invited him to stop in for the picnic. I have found it to be a good idea to invite the neighbors when you have a noisy party in your yard. My Mom also came to the picnic in her Subaru to help MagKenzie prepare food.
