Rekluse Auto Clutch for 1991 Sportster ?
Hello,
I have recently pulled my 883/1200 out of hibernation mainly due to having had a stroke 5 years ago that has left me with permanent vertigo and tiredness which in turn lead me to falling over and breaking 2 fingers on my left hand.
I also have a 2003 FXD that I have fitted a Rekluse clutch to and this has worked brilliantly for me in the last 4 years.
Now I would like to do the same to my sporty and in researching the online OEM parts lists, the difference between the 91 and 95 model clutches appears to be the primary housing and some changes with the clutch ramp circlips/lock rings.
Can any one tell me if it is possible and what needs to be done to allow the new sportster Rekluse to fit the 91 model?
I have a lathe and mill in my workshop ,looking forward to you replies.
Cheers

Thankyou Sportsterpaul, I took your advice (which I should have done in the first place duh ) and contacted Rekluse tech support ,the tech suggested the kit would fit but was not 100% sure about the basket.
I went on Ebay and managed to find only one supplier that was advertising that the Rekluse clutch kit would fit the 1991 Sportster, I contacted them and he replied that the clutch shell/sprocket,clutch hub and pressure plate all had unchanged part numbers from 1991 up until 2004 then the part number for the clutch shell changed from 36790-91 to -94. So info there for anybody that was interested.
Meanwhile I have been offered a Diamond braided cable to try out, if this is good I may look at the Muller easy ramp as a cheaper option.
Cheers,
